Some Cancer Facts

There are over ninety different types of cancer. The most common types are cervical, prostrate, breast, leukamia and brain tumors.

What we do

Let us talk about it.

Cormode Cancer Foundation (CCF) was founded in 2019 by our Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Denise Ejoh in memory of her mother Margaret Ejoh (Nee Cormode)

Herself a cancer survivor, so she knows what it is like to have, survive and live with cancer.

"Cancer is a disease of genes which causes cells to grow out of control" - Prof Gordon McVie

Cancer are abnormal cells that divide in an uncontrolled way. Some cancers may eventually spread into other tissues. One in two people will get cancer in their life time.

We are learning more all the time, but we still do not know exactly why one person gets cancer and another does not. Certain things can increase the risk of getting cancer, but the simple and seriously unfair truth is - cancer can just happen - Teenage Cancer Trust
