Why We Exist
Cancer is a growing challenge in Nigeria, yet many people still face it without reliable information, a clear voice in their care, or the emotional support they need. Cormode Cancer Foundation exists so that no one has to walk that journey in silence or fear.
Our mission is rooted in lived experience and driven by compassion. We raise awareness, strengthen patient advocacy, build survivor-led support systems, and bring culturally relevant cancer education into communities.
We are changing how cancer is understood and faced, one person, one family and one champion at a time.
Our Origin
Born from Survival. Built for Impact.
The Cormode Cancer Foundation was born from the personal cancer journey of our founder, Dr. Denise Ejoh. “Cormode” is her mother's and grandmother's maiden name, a name carrying family, faith and legacy at the heart of everything we do.
